On the 11th, STAYC released the trailer film for their first full-length album ‘Metamorphic,’ set to be released on July 1st, through their official SNS.

The released trailer, subtitled ‘STAYC presents – I’M GREEDY FOR HER,’ depicts the story of girls searching for secrets opposite the truth. Including the prologue ‘A mint candy under the sofa’ and the epilogue ‘I, who recognizes myself,’ the trailer features a total of three episodes: ‘The women in the closet,’ ‘The invisible me,’ and ‘Can’t go out,’ suggesting a well-structured story for the new album.

The members portray a variety of emotions such as jealousy, anxiety, avoidance, love, and curiosity through multi-dimensional facial expressions, increasing the level of immersion. The vintage visual aesthetics reminiscent of a dark fairy tale also create a mysterious and secretive mood. The dense narration with a dreamy voice heightens the tension and helps viewers emotionally engage with the trailer.

‘Metamorphic,’ meaning ‘change,’ is STAYC’s first album release in about 11 months since their third mini-album ‘TEENFRESH’ in August of last year.
