STAYC won ‘the Rookie of the Year award’ at the 2021 Asian Model Awards.

STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, ISA, Seeun, Yoon, J) won the Rookie of the Year award in the singer category at the 16th Asian Model Awards held on the 19th December.

On this day, STAYC said at a red carpet event held before the main awards ceremony, “We are so busy preparing for the performance for the end of the year. (Because of COVID-19) We performed without the audience.  It feels so empty and unfortunate, but we believe it will get better over time. And we are always on stage thinking that there are fans in front of us.”

STAYC added, “We will prepare for the next album and try to show better performances and better songs next year.”

STAYC won the Rookie of the Year award in the singer category at the main awards ceremony.  Sumin said, “Thank you for giving us the Rookie of the Year award that we can only receive once after debuting. We are always grateful to the staffs of Hi-Up Entertainment.  SWITH, thank you so much. We always miss you, and we hope you are always healthy. We will be a STAYC that shows good performance on stage and approaches with good influence.”

STAYC has established themselves as a ‘leading fourth generation idol group’ by making a series of hits this year’s ‘ASAP’ and followed by another popular release ‘STEREOTYPE’. Thanks to their outstanding performance, they received the 2021 Brand Customer Loyalty Award, the 2021 The Fact Music Awards Next Leader, the 2021 Asian Artist Awards New Wave Award, the 2021 Melon Music Awards 1theK Original Content Award, and the Korea Culture Entertainment Awards K-POP Star Award. On top of that, they won six awards at the 2021 Awards by adding the Rookie of the Year award at the Asian Model Awards.
