The group STAYC is continuing its global rise in Japan.
STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, ISA, Seeun, Yoon, J) is all over the inside of Tower Records with their Japanese debut single ‘POPPY’ released on the 23rd.
Thanks to its hot local popularity, STAYC specially installed a booth for selling STAYC’s Japanese debut single ‘POPPY’ album inside the Tower Records of a building representing Shibuya, the center of Japanese music and fashion.
STAYC, who previously announced the entry into the main electronic display of Tower Records and the large electronic display of Shibuya, Japan, proved the great attention of local fans by hosting an album sales booth at Tower Records this time.
Particularly, in addition to the album sales booth, STAYC is catching the eyes of fans who visited the site with a large signboard wrapping image. The sales booth is playing the music video of ‘POPPY’ along with the lovely STAYC’s characters, and STAYC’s unique kitsch visuals are drawing deep interests.
STAYC, which began its full-fledged activities by releasing ‘POPPY’ on the 23rd, successfully completed its debut showcase on the 21st before its official debut. After its release, ‘POPPY’ ranked 7th on the Oricon chart and 10th on the Music chart, and ‘#poppychallenge’ has recently surpassed 10 million cumulative views, drawing attention from K-pop fans around the world.
‘POPPY’ is a song that combines an addictive chorus that you can memorize just by listening to it once and STAYC’s lovely mood. STAYC has been receiving favorable reviews since its release with its solid singing ability and addictive point choreography. It says they all like ‘All main vocal.’
Meanwhile, STAYC is active in Japan with ‘POPPY”’ and will continue to be busy until the end of the year by holding an overseas fan meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, following Manila, the Philippines, on December 3.
